Hi there I have been experimenting with ubuntu in vmware workstation 6.4 while running windooz xpsp3 trying to get software I like to run or linux comparitive . I have it now to a stage where I have all of my software running emails all setup and running in linux virtually .I am now ready to put this on a real machine but tryed backup software Acronis true image .when installed it does not see the network or sound card is there a new hardware install or is it easier to replace /home /etc after setup on fresh install on real pc with the ones from virtual to restore things
