View Full Version : [ubuntu] sun xvm virtual box

I have just loaded the sun xvm virtual box and I want to install windows xp.
could someone help me with some easy instructions I dont seem to be getting anywhere.

What problem are you having? You should just be able to click the new button and then follow the wizard. Once finished just put your windows cd in your drive and hit the start button in virtualbox. Then just install windows in the usual way.

thanks steve 1961 have followed your advise and windows is now installed and is up and running.
silly question can you have more than one system installed at a time,like
maybe bsd and windows or is that too much.

Yes you can have as many O/Ss as your system can handle.... in terms of hard drive space that is. Now to run multiple O/Ss at the same time, you need lots of ram and lots of video memory. Not recommended though.

thanks for your reply It was just that sometimes with something like bsd.which is an install only cd.that I can look at it too see if it any use to me.
