Feature not present on CPU: 0:6 (not a VM, but dual boot)

I am testing out 8.0.4 HH Server on a Thinkpad T42. I have already installed XP - SP3 and created the other partitions for the server and completed the install. However I get an error at boot time that "This kernel requires the following Feature not present on the CPU: 0:6". I saw a lot of other threads talking about VMs not supporting PAE, but I am not using a VM. It is the same issue? Am I using the wrong distro? I am using the i386 server version.
