View Full Version : [ubuntu] want to try ubuntu no luck

I was looking a linux .not sure where and it said try ubuntu first and see if you like it ..so i DL ubuntu and burnatonce to make a copy to run it off the disk .i ran burnatonce and it seems like it copyed ..i tryed to restart my computer with the disk in and only windows boots up..where am i going wronge here..
i know ubuntu is on the disk i looked by opening my cd burner ..so it's there

any ideas or steps i should fallow thanks

You need to adjust your BIOS to boot from CD. When you start up your computer hit some F key (usually F12) before Windows starts booting and choose to boot from CD.

Also did you burn the file you downloaded as an iso image? It has to be burnt in this format so it's bootable.
