Ubuntu forum staff,

I posted a thread this morning and now that thread is gone. It asked if anyone had noticed the ability to install WINE on a mini9 using ADD/REMOVE was disabled.

I did not think is was inappropriate, but maybe someone else did???

Any thoughts?

I only found this thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=955796

Not the one I think...

I'll check the jail, perhaps there was an accident.

LMAO... no.

I think the title was something like, "WINE install disabled on Dell mini 9" or something similar with key words.

I know I posted it in the Dell support area. The issue is I simply noticed something odd with my new mini-9. When you try to install WINE using ADD/REMOVE, the box is not selectable. You can still install it using apt-get, but still raised an eyebrow to me.

Perhaps you weren't running ADD/REMOVE as root?

I can't find any trace of such a thread in the Dell forum or in the Jail (we can see sotft deleted threads).

I suggest you repost it, sorry.

If at first it didn't work...

Perhaps the admin will be able to be right where I failed. :-)

Where did you post it?

I posted it in the "Dell support" area. I guess I can repost it, but I am almost certain that I did.

However if neither of you know anything about it... then maybe I did something stupid like hitting "preview post" instead of posting it.

That is possible. There is no reason why we'd delete it. If it were done by accident, it would have been a soft delete and I would have found it and only admins can do hard deletes.

I have to comment on this and just say :lolflag: This is with out a doubt the funniest way of explaining this process I have ever heard. Nice work :)
