View Full Version : [all variants] can't install ddd in ubuntu 8.04, help me!!!

I have installed ddd following this:
$sudo apt-get install ddd
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
ddd is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

$ddd
ddd: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

so i have to installing ddd in source code, download ddd-3.3.9 from ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/ddd/, after that,
$sudo ./configure
###the error is

anyone who install ddd on ubuntu 8.04 sucessful please help me!

If you are going to compile it install the dev packages from the ubuntu repos. You can do this by opening a terminal and

sudo apt-get build-dep ddd
