View Full Version : [ubuntu] [SOLVED] My Sound-Juicer hates mp3, methinks

I'm new to Ubuntu, and am trying to rip CDs using Sound Juicer (that's what first pops up when I put in a CD, and I've heard good things). I hear that since, like, Ubuntu 6.06, Juicer could handle the Lame (mp3) codec. However, any and all profiles in Sound-Juicer regarding mp3 encoding don't show up in my Output Format drop-down. I tried even creating new profiles as listed on various webpages, and nothing. I've even tried unchecking "Active" on all the other Output Formats (leaving the mp3 ones) and all I get is an empty drop-down.

Any clue, yo?

Apparently I didn't need to be moved. That worked...thanks!
