I've searched for an answer in Google and many other sites including these forums but couldn't get an answer.

Please help me. I want a laser printer with the following characteristics:

1-Very economical ink consumption.
2-Long-lasting and relatively inexpensive ink cartridges.
3-Not cost more than approximately 150$ (give or take a few bucks)
4-Supports duplex printing (printing on both sides of papers)

It would be nice if it has strong materials, but it's not a condition.

Thanks in advance.

There are some cheaper HP ones I would look at. HP printers run almost seamlessly on Linux, an important consideration.

i've had an HP laserjet 4L for well over 10 years, and still going strong. when it comes time to lay it to rest and replace it, i will choose another HP.

I dunno about running cost but I generally tend to put my trust (or should that be money) into HP printers. Just don't buy reconditioned toner cartridges!

Ink cartridges for a laser printer?

I like the Xerox color solid ink printers, but they're more expensive than what you list.

Make sure you check here first to see how well the printers you are looking at perform in Linux:

HP is pretty supportive of Linux and I made the switch to them for my printing needs.

Anything made by HP in the printer market is usually top quality.
