Hi

I wanted to build a tool (Sqliteman) and it needs the Qt toolkit version 4.3 or later preferably. Now I know I have libqt4-core and libqt4-gui installed (i built k9copy which needed those). Apparently, I need more than that, including qmake. Knowing that Qt is the toolkit for Kubuntu and also that Ubuntu uses Gtk, would it be OK to install Qt on my Hardy system? Sorry for this newbie question, I am not sure how stable my system would be after having both the competing toolkits on it.

Not trying to start Toolkit war here - I just don't want to mess up the reasonably hard-earned stability of my Ubuntu install. Any pointers welcome including people talking about their positive/negative experiences on similar configuration.

Just for reference, this is the error I get when trying to compile:
CMake Error: Qt qmake not found!

Thanks in advance!

Yep, that shouldn't cause any stability problems at all :)
