So I have this TI83+ for school and I recently bought a SilverLink cable so I could put 3rd party apps on it.
Now, I've installed TiLP on my computer it doesn't work at all. So I just go ahead and install it on my Windows computer and try to connect from there, which does work.
So now I can connect to my calculator, but in order to run most of the applications available to me I'll need a shell of some sort. So I drag DoorsCS onto the directory listing for the calculator, and instead of it transferring nicely into Applications, I get

NACK recieved.
Cause: the command has been refused

Well now what? I've tried using TI Connect, but it won't even find the calculator which is quite plainly connected on COM1.

So does anyone have any experience with stuff like this who would be willing to help out?

EDIT: Well I can use BASIC apps, but those aren't very fun.
