Hello i am new to ubuntu i got it instaled on its own hard drive so i can boot it wen i want to and try t lurn it
the prob i am haveing is i am useing dailup internet netzero
i need to run the software to get online i have the file named netzero install.exe on the desktop of my ubuntu drive but i cant seem to get the packige manger to see it to mark it for install any help please

Chances are that the install file is a Windows file which won't work without help (e.g. through "Wine (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wine)")

EDIT: I'm a bit geographically distant to use netzero, perhaps some other Ubuntu user is able to provide some more useful suggestions.

hey this may sound stupid but well ubuntu run a file named .exe ?

Have a look at this thread, it may help:

Once you have copied the file from your windows partition to your desktop, just double-click the .deb file to install.
