How to install KDE themes?

Ok, so I downloaded a theme/style off of kde-look, but when I try to install it in the KDM theme manager, it tells me that the file is not a valid KDM theme archive...How do I go about installing these, then?

you should also read installation instructions from kde-look for that specific theme, since different themes may have different instruction procedures...
