Help me plz. I cannot install ubuntu 8.04 on my laptop

I boot with installation CD and select installation language then it display black screen and not display installation screen

My laptop is Asus A6Km CPU AMD turion ,RAM 2GB ,and Ubuntu desktop 8,04
