I recently downloaded the standard 8.04 LTS iso (not the alternate) and am trying to install. The problem I'm having is that once the cd boots up and I try select the "install ubuntu" option nothing seems to happen. Its almost like the enter key won't work on the choices but does work on selecting language or one of the F-key menus...??

I've burned the image onto 2 disks now with 2 different apps (at low speed too!) and still the same thing... I've also tried a ps/2 and USB keyboard...nada!

Currently running a dual boot system of XP pro and Ubuntu 7.04.

help?

Have you checked the cd for defects?
