I have been trying out Intrepid Ibex and I like it, but it refuses to work with my soundcard, an ancient Audiodrive ESS 1869 ISA pnp card. I've read a lot of bug reports about this very card and nobody can seem to get it to work with the kernel in 8.10. Can I upgrade to Ibex and keep my current kernel (2.6.24-21)? If so, how?
