upgrade with installation CD

Hi Guys,
I have Ubuntu 7.10 installed on my system. I want to upgrade it to 8.04 from a intallation CD. I do not have internet connection on my computer. Can I still upgarde to 8.04 with the intallation CD?

If you have the Hardy install CD then yes you can upgrade, if you clean install be sure your /home dir is on a sepearte partition to save losing your settings.

You need the Alternate CD. You also need your OS fully updated and to remove all third parties from your sources.list before attempting an upgrade.
