[SOLVED] Mounting Partitions | Remove icon from Desktop

When i mount a partition, it puts an icon on the Desktop.

Is there a way i can stop this from happening?

You could try opening the configuration editor. I think it's in the main menu, or you can press Alt+F2 and type gconf-editor. Then go to Apps > Nautilus > Desktop and untick 'volumes_visible.
