Slow HP print

Since I installed some system updates yesterday, my printer (HP FJ3000 series) is running really slow. 40 minutes per page. Any ideas?

I suggest you remove all the hplip package completely, assuming yopu use that, uninstall the printer and then install it again.

removed everything. Connected the usb, the printer drivers were loaded, still running very slowly.
