Install Ubuntu on my Kingston 8GB Flash Drive

Hey guys. I JUST got my Kingstone 8GB flash drive, and I was hearing this thing that you can install Ubuntu on some flash drive and it becomes portable. I was thinking of somehow i could do this, then I'll save the bad time I'm having in university with their Vistas.

I wanna install 8.10 or 8.4
