I have a new dell vostro desktop. I had issues getting audio to work after installing ubuntu. This thread eventually got me going, http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=569082
The problem I have now is that audio does NOT work after a hibernate. Rebooting seems to bring it back. Any hints on how I can keep audio working??
