Hey Guys

I am having problems getting an upgrade.

I am getting

dpkg: parse error, in file `/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 24852 package `libsasl2-modules-otp':
error in Version string `2048:': nothing after colon in version number
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)

when apt-get upgrade.

What happens if you do
sudo apt-get update

What are you upgrading to and from?

I am running regular upgade through the internet. Is that what you were asking?

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Only then start thinking of upgrading. Here is a link to it:

even after dist-upgrade I am still getting
