I've never upgraded by using Adept, and before I do I'd like a little reassurance!

First of all, the laptop I want to upgrade is still running Feisty. Yes, Feisty, and I like it. :) But since its life cycle (in terms of support, etc.) ends today, I thought I might go ahead and upgrade to Gutsy.

Okay, it's an HP dv6000 and I had to do considerable tweaking when I bought it in order to get its wireless card (Broadcom 4311) working correctly; I did that with ndiswrapper.

I DO NOT WANT TO LOSE or in any other way adversely affect my wireless setup!

So my questions are:

1) Is it safe (as in not losing data) to upgrade via Adept Manager's "Version Upgrade" choice?

2) Should I be concerned about losing/screwing up my wireless configuration as a result of upgrading?

Yes, I do have recent backups of my data, but I still prefer not to lose any. And regarding the wireless card...I'm just in no mood to have to do all that tweaking again.
