Cant delete ubuntu entries from Windows Boot Loader

Apologies for the wrong section as i didn't know where exactly to ask.

I have a DellXpsM 1530, Vista64-bit.
I uninstalled a Wubi-based existing installation of Ubuntu Hardy but the entry was still there in the Windows bootLoader.

I installed VistaBootPro as per some online suggestions but the entry of Ubuntu doesnt even show up there.

If there is no easier way, perhaps re-installing and uninstalling the OS might get rid of it.

Try using bootrec from the recovery console before going to other extremes.
