Keyboard layout messed up

First of all, thanks for reading this!

here is my problem!: After the -21 (or was it -24?) kernel update, my keyboard settings have gone crazy, my Mexican keyboard config has disappeared, hence all keys are messed up and some are missing (software-wise speaking) I tried the keyboard config in control panel but there is only latin america, whereas the correct config doesnt exist....

any help please
