Installation Of Xubuntu Inside Windows

Hi,
I have a Dell Dimension 4600. It has win xp Home Edition.
I want to install xubuntu inside windows.

If I install it, will windows still be there?

Cause the reason being is that its a Family PC and they Have no clue about Linux.

They want windows, I want Xubuntu.

Please help.

It appears that you can but I recommend defragging and resizing your hard drive to make some room for xubuntu on it's own partition

I think I put together my own PC - yeah its the easy way out. ( I'm a hardware Guy)
