View Full Version : [ubuntu] Change mount point of partition

I have two partitions other than filesystem...

But they are mountable partitions...
So the pathname of the partition keeps on changing depending on the order in which they are mounted...
/media/disk and /media/disk-1
And thus I cannot create symbolic links between partitions...

In GParted I see that I haven't specified any mount point for the two partitions...
Will it help if I change the mount point to /media/disk for one and /media/disk-1 for the other?

If yes, can you explain the procedure of doing the same to me?
Also warn me if that could be dangerous to my data (by erasing it) ... Then I might consider making a backup...

Thanks...
