View Full Version : [ubuntu] configuring a soundcard connector

hey guys.

i just installed ubuntu recently again.. and it works just fine. i have a soundcard on my desktop.. and the "green" connector works just fine outputting the sound. the "pink" one works great as the plug for the microphone.


however i have a 4 speaker system and i need one of the other connectors to act as another output. in windows the drivers would just let me do it.. but here in linux i have no idea what to look for.


my soundcard is turtle beach santa cruz.

Look in the volume control Options, or in the sound mixer for a line-in mode switch or something like that.

Surround sound is not enabled by default but here are some guides for getting that working:
