Hi,
when posting a new thread to forum URL becomes something like this:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...18#post5970918

What I dislike is the end part of URL from "#post5970918". This part of URL tells forum to load a particular thread. But when posting first post to the forum I always bookmark it in my Firefox browser. But when I look into bookmark to see if someone has posted a response to my question I have to delete last part of URL.

Can you change default behaviour of first post to just return URL without last part from character # to the end of URL?

This would save me some time and probably also lower CPU time of forum's server - I just think many people do the same as I do.

In order to see whether anyone has posted in a particular thread, you can use a function which is provided by this forum's software. It is called 'susbcribing to a thread'.

I rather think that the stickies in this subforum explain it nicely.

in your user cp you can set to subscribe to every thread that you participate in. If you enable it and the go to the cp you will see the list of threads with new replies.
