I had Ubuntu on an older Dell(P4 2.4 Ghz, 768MB RAM, 40GB HD) a month ago and it was working just fine. I got bored and so I decided to switch distros just for fun. So I tried to install Slackware...I tried everything but every time I just ended up with a blank screen and one of those little flashing "_" things in the top left corner. I also tried Fedora and Gentoo but the same thing happened. I eventually decided to go back to Ubuntu. I tried installing with the exact same disc and guess what? Blank screen with flashy thingy!
Yep so...I know this isn't exclusive to Ubuntu install issues but I couldn't find a better place for it. What's going on???
