i need help installing my unhatbutu

i need help installing my unbutu so that it start in windows xp (already installed) as a default so that if i dont want to use linux i just wouldnt notice the promt...

please give me detailed instructions on either dos or the linux terminal code thing so that i may achieve this.

i wanna do this because someone else in my family uses this computer and they like xp, they dont want to be bothered by a prompt so i would like either a really short timed promt or some way that if i dont press this or that linux doesnt come...

You can change the "default" setting in your grub menu.list so that it will boot into windows after the timer has reached zero. You can also increase or decrease the time before it boots the operating system by making changes to the "timeout" setting.
