I installed 8.04 without any trouble. Gnome works good. When I put in a CD, DVD, or flash drive, they automount and an icon appears on my desktop.
I installed KDE and all looks good but no automount. If I put in a disk, no icon on the desktop appears. If I look in /media and try to ls, there is no device mounted.
Any ideas on how to get this working?
