Hi everyone,

I have Kubuntu 8.04 installed on a 45 Gb partition of my laptop. Everything works fine, but I'd just like to go back to Ubuntu 8.04. When I try to install Ubuntu on my linux partition the installer doesn't seem to want to remove or overwrite the Kubuntu installation. I did try to install Fedora 9 to install Ubuntu after that, but the Fedora installer didn't see my linux partition at all and wanted to install fedora on my whole disc. How can I do this? Is it perhaps best to wait for Ubuntu 8.10 and try that?

Thanks in advance :).

this (http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/puregnome) will show you how to switch to pure gnome.

You can just install the gnome-desktop then remove kde
or keep them both and select your session type at the log in
screen.
