cannot find folder view widget in widget list

Hello,

This one could be a little silly. I'm using kubuntu 8.10 beta and I'm trying to add a folder view by right click -> add widget. I cannot find the folder view widget in the list. Can some one please advise?

Hi,

I am experiencing exactly the same problem.

I can open the widget menu, but then cannot find the folder view widget.

I am working with Kubuntu 8.10 and KDE 4.0.

Hi,

This may sound crazy but after following the procedures in

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/IntrepidUpgrades/Kubuntu

(yes, it is the upgrade instructions. Do it even if you have kubuntu 8.10 already installed. Make sure you click on the blue arrow once the adept tool pops up) everything worked fine.

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestion, but unfortunately it did not work out for me. I got some kind of bug message.

However, I followed the KDE 4.1.2 update instructions (http://www.kubuntu.org/news/kde-4.1.2) and that worked fine. I can see the folder view widget now.

Anyway, it seems that this problem is solved!
