newbie question about desktop

I'm new in ubuntu, and I'm still learning a lot about this great OS, I also browse the net for themes and all of that, but I noticed that some of the screenshots have a Mac OS X like Dock at the bottom... it's that a difficult thing to do, o it can be done easy? I really love the idea to put a dock on my Ubuntu desktop, if anyone can tell me how I will be very happy. Thanx:)

Hi and I believe you are speaking of avant-window-navigator. You can search synaptic manager or add and remove.

I got a brand new Sylvania Netbook with intel atom 1gig ram and 80 g hd, it's too weak for avant window? I install it and it doesn't start, just crash when loading up... that's normal?:confused:
