I have heard that the new Socom coming out tomorrow does not support split screen online gaming. Call of Duty 4 doesn't have split screen online. In fact, the only game in my house that supports split screen online, between 3 guys and 3 systems is Halo 3. To play that, you need to shell out as much as the system costs to play the game for 4 years. How am I supposed to have my friends over for some gaming, when all we are restricted to is playing the same set up that we did on the Playstation 1! My friends (sadly) will leave my house, go home (a 40 minute drive) and play on their own console with me.
I love the versatility of the PS3, the cell is great, the bluetooth support is amazing, wireless controller are a nice step up, online access, linux support, keyboard and mouse, wireless internet access, support for 7 people on the console and the list goes on. Why can't I have my friends play shooters with me?
Sigh. I don't feel much better.
