So i saw there are also a few BSD distros, I want to try BSD, but wich one should I take.
I prefer GNOME over KDE.
Just to try and I like the spirit of open source, like in free :p.
So if some off you could help me make a choice, cuz I'm totally noob is BSD.
If you suggest a distro plz tell me why that you particullary suggest that distro.
(ps: the download is for the end of this month, we got something like downloadlimits, and mine is almost gone :(:(:()

I know alot of BSD distros, cuz I know google ;).
And I know now that you prefer freeBSD, but why do you prefer it over the others?

It's not out of personal experience, but from other people's experience I value higly. Other than that, FreeBSD's documentation is quite solid: http://www.freebsd.org/docs.html Other than that, I'd say you just try them out.
Off topic: we zijn hier overduidelijk in de minderheid ;)

No intention to install it on an old system. :)
The system:
C2D T8100
ATI Radeon HD2400 (256MB, up to 1534MB)
3GB ram 667 Mhz FSB
250GB HD, WAY TO SMALL

First you should decide which fork of BSD you want to use. Each one of them is quite different from the other. (note fork is different from being just a distro)
There is FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, and DragonFlyBSD are the most famous of them.
FreeBSD is probably the best bet for you I think. For an easier FreeBSD experience get PC-BSD or DesktopBSD.

* DesktopBSD is the best for a user who prefers the GUI - it's essentially FreeBSD with a preconfigured desktop and some GUI tools.
* NetBSD is the cleanest and simplest in design, and is my personal favorite.
* DragonFlyBSD is rather new, and I think that it's going places.
* FreeBSD is the most popular and is legendary for its stability.
* OpenBSD is famously secure, and is free from 'binary blobs' - I'll leave it up to you to form an opinion on that.
* MidnightBSD looks interesting, but I haven't tried it yet.
