Hi, I would like to install Xubuntu 8.04 to a embedded system (PC104). The specs of the PC is well above the requirement with 1gb of ram and 1.8ghz processing power.
However, I encounter the initramfs + busybox screen and can't go into installation. I read the forum and have tried all the kernel options but nothing work.
I was wondering is it the problem with my hard drive. My hard drive is a compact flash drive. Does installing Xubuntu to a compact flash drive differs fro a normal hdd?
The problem I encountered when I entered the debug option in the boot screen is
sda: <4> Driver 'sr' needs updating - please use bus_type methods
also there's a buffer I/O errr in sda. is it pointing to the wrong one?
I LAO found out that if i take out the compact flash drive, i can go into the installation desktop. However, I need to install xubuntu to the compact flash drive as it's the only hdd there. so how can i do it?
Thanks!
