hey all! im trying to compile a program called gnutrition from source and having some issues. ive had some success following this page https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CompilingSoftware but it hasnt solved the problem entirely

im running ubuntu hardy and im all up to date (i believe) this is the last point ive reached and i dont know where to go from here!

franky@franky-laptop:~/Desktop/gnutrition-0.3$ sudo ./configure
[sudo] password for franky:

checking for gnomeConf.sh file in /usr/local/lib... not found
configure: error: Could not find the gnomeConf.sh file that is generated by gnome-libs install
franky@franky-laptop:~/Desktop/gnutrition-0.3$

ive tried the apt-get-build-essential-install-everything-the-damn-prog-wants-now commands but im still unable to figure out how i should proceed from here. any input is appreciated! if i can get this problem fixed maybe i will be in a better position to help others on this forum ;) or maybe u will simply earn more good karma
