Just got a new machine and was wondering if someone could give some hints as to best O/S to duel boot with vista.
It has vista on at the moment i keep losing my internet connection , but thats an other problem.
The specs for the pc are as follows.
Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 2.40 gigahertz.
1000.21 Gigabytes Hard Drive.
D-Link AirPlus DWL-G520 Wireless PCI Adapter.
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT.
ASUSTeK Computer INC.V-P5G31 Motherboard.
4 Gig Memory.
The only problem i can see is the wireless card.
Thanks olddave

Given that system specification, I'd say you dual boot it with Ubuntu Hardy. Hopefully, it will auto-detect your wireless adapter.

Thanks for the response iaculallad i was wondering about a 64 bit o/s because of the specs. I have had the wireless card working in ubuntu 7.10 but when i try the live cd of 8.04 it does not work.
Thanks again old dave

Try 64 bit. It can manage your memory better
