Hello all,

I'm a technology teacher in San Antonio, Texas.
I run Ubuntu in my computer lab and this morning I interviewed two
8th grade students in my 'Advanced Ubuntu/Programming' Class.

It is pretty neat that the kids are wanting to improve that game, shows that they are both smart and show understanding of the open source concept.

He pronounced Ubuntu wrong, along with the slightly annoying music and not very fleshy content it wasn't good enough to even pass time with. That is my critical review of it, but for a school based podcast it's pretty good. ;)

C'mon now. It's about middle school education.
I'm trying to demonstrate these kids are learning something using Linux.
They are excited about it.

Good job. I wish my H.S had a Ubuntu class, but heck, we don't even have "CS" for H.S.

I know what you are talking about. That's why I publish this kind of thing.
If anyone out there knows of other Linux computer labs in k-12 settings, I'd really like to hear about it.

I hope that in the three years I have before graduation, I convert enough people to be able to support a teacher-sanctioned student users' group. I've already got two.



I think it's awesome that there's a school out there where this stuff is happening.
