Theres a PROBLEM, IDK WHY THIS KEEPS HAPPENING!

Ok, when i start up the lunix CD in my bios, everything works fine until i select install, then it sits there for a while and ends up running the live CD, i've been using the live CD and i like ubuntu, but when i click install on the Desktop, it loads and then nothing pops up, it just makes the system drag for like 5 min. because the CD drive is at least trying to load it

well, it was in both, but i went ahead and ordered the official CD in the mail, and it installed on y computer, but now i have another problem, i use a dial up internet connection, and idk how to connect to the internet w/ Ubuntu, i know the numbers and all, the numbers i need to dial out, but i can't figure out how to connect, do i need to install my modem even though it says it recognizes it??? PLEASE HELP, i have windows (WHICH I HATE) installed on a partion, just until i get all of the drivers and everything i need, please help, i'm fed up with windows, this OS looks very promising to me.:confused:
