Could I switch off my swap

I am running Hardy heron 8.04 using wubi in my laptop, the response is a bit slower,could someone please tell me whether this is due to my swap. If it is the reason,could I switch off the swap because I am not running resources consuming applications.TIA.

It's not /swap
I don't know anything about wubi, but in a normal installation, you can add /swap=off to your boot line
