Hi,
I managed to install Kubuntu 8.04 on my laptop a few days ago. At first I had a screen resolution problem (I have an onboard Intel 82815 Graphics Chipset). I managed to sort out that problem through the "Screens and Graphics" application by selecting the correct driver and monitor. However, I am now unable to log on to KDE 4. Gnome and the login screen work fine with the 1024x768 resolution at 60 Hz. KDE 4 loads up partially and then crashes. By crashes, I mean that it loads the desktop but then randomly jumps back to the login screen. Does anyone know what might be wrong? Any help would be appreciated. :)
