Hi I was wondering if anyone knew what's going on with the new Face Browser that was in development? I was hoping it would be included in Intrepid but I've seen no sign of it:(
For those who aren't aware of it check this (http://arstechnica.com/journals/linux.ars/2008/04/29/ubuntus-opengl-face-browser-will-bring-bling-to-gdm) out.

I wont use it. I prefer my customized GDM screens.

I thought that perhaps it would be a customisable application? Surely, as long as the implementation is sound and it provides additional functionality, the developer would hope that this could become a standard used by all distros?

is this the same thing as the complete GDM rewrite that is in the works? if it is, then its still in development, but hopefully should be a lot better.

I don't find the concept of "face browser" anything to be exited about.

They should better put "eye candy expert" Müller to work to provide a decent gtk theme.
