New install error

I installed Ubuntu latest version. When starting it up for the first time it says. "entered blank passwork. this is not allowed. please enter non blank password."

It never asked me for a password since the original install setup.

Enter the password tha you created when you installed Ubuntu. Remember Intrepid is still in beta, you may run into other problems, please direct these questions here:

is 8.04 intrepid? also it never asks for a password.
