I'm from Fort Wayne as well. What's this FW Linux Users' Group you speak of?
I've always been hesitant to join any groups because of my age (26) and experience level (I put myself at a solid 3 on a 1-10 scale)

Yet another "old-timer" from Ft Wayne - 28 and completely unaware a FWLUG existed until just now.

Indeed!
We're just a bunch of Linux users who get together a couple of times a month. We also use each other as tech support, and chat about Linuxy stuff on our mailing list, your can join it real easy from the link schultmc dropped.
Our next meeting is an informal social meeting (which we call the "business" meeting) this coming Thursday (November 3rd, 2008 ) at Mad Anthony's, a restaurant at the corner of Taylor and Broadway.
You're all welcome to join us, regardless of age or experience! :-D
Mad Anthony's has great food, and we tend to have pretty entertaining and meandering conversation. It's mostly at the "business" meetings that we discuss topics to cover during the monthly "presentation" meetings, so if you have an interest in some topic you can bring it up and maybe influence us to have a presentation about it.
