Upgrade differences

Hello,

I was just curious if there was a difference between the end results of a fresh install to a new distro and an upgrade to the new distro. Eg. I install Hardy fresh on a box, and upgrade to Hardy on an existing 7.10 box.

Results should be the same.That is a point of upgrade but it can leave some packages which you don´t need.You can solve that easy.

If you try to upgrade; make sure that your system is fully updated and you have removed all third parties from your /etc/apt/sources.list prior to trying to upgrade.
