Hi;
Thanks to the hardware detection software in the Ubuntu live cd I was able to quickly figure out that ethernet card got toasted in a recent thunderstorm.
This was for the 5.10 livecd.
I noticed for the 8.04 cd the user no longer sees that hardware detection software ( red and blue ncurses interface ). Why?
What is the name of that software? I'd like to learn how to use it on a rescue cd or usb stick.
Thanks
Steve
