(Please move this thread if it is in the wrong place)

Does anyone here use Drupal 6 to manage a website? I think it is an excellent Open Source project that allows people (like me :)) that have only a small amount of knowledge in web-design (HTML, PHP, MySQL...)

I am currently working on building a site using Drupal but the only think i havent been able to do is find a good theme. There are themes offered at the Drupal website but they either dont work right, or are ugly; and most other Drupal theme sites are just a repeat of the themes on the Drupal site. Does anyone know where i can get a nice theme?

Depending on what your requirements for a site are you may want to drop back to drupal 5.x. Some modules have not been updated for version 6 yet. Of course this only becomes a problem if you require a module for the site you are producing.

As for themes you should work through creating your own. It is not particularly difficult but could potentially (read more than likely) involve html/css/php work on your part.

drupal 5 theming (http://drupal.org/theme-guide/5)
drupal 6 theming (http://drupal.org/theme-guide)

As you noted Drupal is a great product but you will only realise its full potential once you start creating your own themes/content types etc. Most of the time an understanding of php is required.

Why don't you try my new Clearlooks theme? It's relatively bug free, but I need someone to help test it so I can release a 1.0 version.

If you don't like it you can try making your own theme with the Foundation theme.
