It's kinda sad... People just refuse to give it a chance. But, I sort of understand where they are coming from.

But, still, it's sad :(

I'm not surprised at all: probably many people don't understand what they are buying, and then they return the object when they discover that they didn't buy what they wanted. The second reason is that very few people administrate their computer themselves; most refer to some local "expert". When they get a Linux netbook they are on their own.

Are we on our own? No.. but you get my point? These users should have some sort of guidance provided to direct them to the relevant support sources, for example, forums. I didn't search for this, but there are probably some eee-pc forums somewhere..?
